Body language can make a bigger impression on people than you might think. If you are able to learn how to use it correctly, body language can help you to make and keep friends. For example, if you stand up straight, you will look confident and attractive, while arms crossed over your chest say "stay away". Mirroring is another way of sending out the right signals. If you are wanting someone to like you, you should try to copy their body language. Why? If someone does what we do, we feel that we have a lot in common with them. So if you are having a drink with someone, try taking a sip of your drink a few seconds after they do. Look at their posture. If they are leaning forwards, you should try standing up straight. Of course, you have to be careful. You don't want to look as if you're making fun of them!
